On March 24, the delegation led by Phumtham Wechayachai (Thai Deputy PM and Minister of Commerce) visited and exchanged insights with Thai Crown Group, a subsidiary of JWM. The delegation was warmly hosted by Zhang Haibo, General Manager of Thai Crown Group. The Deputy PM highly recognized JWM for its achievements and the Sino-Thai fruit cooperation. Enabling JWM to receive guidance from the Deputy PM himself, the visit also allowed JWM to showcase its deployment in global fruit chain and supply chain. In addition, it serves as a testimony of JWM’s efforts in boosting the development of the fruit industry under the Belt and Road Initiative.

A leading durian importer and distributor in China, JWM has come into contact with Thai fruits as early as 2003. Since then, JWM has been promoting the development of Sino-Thai fruit trade by holding Thai Fruit Festival for several years in a row, actively promoting Thai fruits in the Chinese market, and increasing its investments in building a mature whole-industry chain for Thai durian and many other fruits.

While durian fragrance wafts across nations, JWM builds a bridge between China and Thailand. For years, JWM and the Thai government have been actively conducting in-depth communication and exchanges on innovative fruit trade. When JWM attended the 15th Asia Fruit Logistica held in Thailand in 2022, Mr. Rapibhat Chandarasrivongs, Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture of Thailand, paid a visit to JWM's booth and applauded JWM for its efforts in boosting the high-quality development of fruit trade between China and Thailand. In 2023, in the Thai Fruit Festival during the 6th China International Import, JWM, together with government officials, met with the Deputy PM of Thailand. Talks were held regarding fruit trade and lasting friendship between China and Thailand.

Marking the twelfth year of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Thailand, this is also the first year of the second golden decade of jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative. With the ambition to "Soar into the Sky, Unite for Greater Height", JWM will increase its investment and efforts in Thailand's fruit industry chain so as to boost the Sino-Thai fruit trade cooperation.
